At Canton Animal Clinic we believe every grooming should be a positive experience. We offer a safe, clean and healthy environment for the comfort and security of your pet.
Our groomer, Nate, has many years of experience and works with a variety of pets including senior pets and pets with behavioral issues. His combination of experience and training enables him to provide your pet with the highest level of care.
Grooming appointments are scheduled to check-in throughout the day, or early drop off can be arranged. We groom a limited number of dogs each day to provide a quiet, calm environment with little interference to ensure your pet is give the highest quality care.
We use a selection of shampoos to help meet your pet’s individual needs. Medicated shampoos can also be used upon request and when provided by the owner at drop off
- Basic Groom: includes bath, haircut, brush out, nail trim, ear clean, as well as a complimentary facial scrub, conditioning fragrance, and bow or scarf.
- Bath and Brush: includes bath, brush out, nail trim, ear clean, as well as a complimentary facial scrub, conditioning fragrance, and bow or scarf
- Puppy’s First Groom: It is important to introduce your puppy to grooming at a young age. An early introduction to the sounds and sensations of grooming can start a lifetime of positive experiences. We offer a special discounted price for your puppy’s first groom.
- Extra Services: We offer a selection of services so you can get the most out of your pet’s grooming.
- Anal Gland Expression: For the safety and health of your pet, we only express anal glands internally. This is a procedure that should only be done when necessary and by a license technician or veterinarian. For this reason, we do not automatically express all anal glands. If your dog has a chronic problem, please let Nate know, otherwise glands will only be expressed when full.
- Toe Nail Trims: Regular nail trims should be a part of your pet’s grooming routine. Nail trims are included in a basic groom or make an appointment for just a trim. Depending on breed, Nate also offers the option having your dog’s nails painted in your choice of colors as a fun finishing touch.
- Custom Hair Dyeing and Pet Stencils: Want to take your grooming to the next level? Ask about our custom hair dyeing or stencils. You can add a festive touch, a bit
of team spirit, or a special detail to show off your pet’s personal style in your choice of colors. Dyes will wash out in 4-6 shampoos. Dyes start at $10 and stencils start at $7. - Shedless Treatment: Do you have a dog that sheds excessively? Do you wish there was a way to decrease the amount of hair throughout your home, on your clothes, and in your car? A shedless treatment can improve the appearance of both your pet and your home. Our groomer uses an all natural anti-shedding shampoo and conditioner combined with a variety of tools designed to remove the dead hair trapped in the undercoat of your pet. This treatment reduces shedding up to 80% and can last for up to three months. Shedless treatments start at $50 depending on the size of pet.
- Soft Paws: Soft paws are a safe, painless, and non-toxic alternative to declawing your cat. These colorful caps are applied to your pet’s nails to limit scratching, clawing, and other destructive behaviors. Caps last 4 to 6 weeks and are available in a variety of colors. Call ahead for any specific color request. Soft paw application is $25 for two paws or $30 for all four paws.
Sedation grooming is available when necessary. Appointments must be scheduled for sedation in advance, and pets must have a current exam with a veterinarian and be up to date with rabies and distemper vaccines.
For the safety of your pet the following vaccinations are required before grooming:
- Dogs: Rabies required. DHLPP, Lyme & Bordetella recommended.
- Cats: Rabies required. FVR-CP recommended.
Prices are determined by size, condition of coat, temperament, and time taken to compete the service. Please call for an approximate price range.
